The Duquesne University baseball team improved to 3-3 with a 12-4 victory over Indiana/Purdue-Fort Wayne (IPFW) in Bradenton, FL. The Dukes used an eight-run seventh inning to pull away from the Mastodons.

Ken Strader picked up the win in relief of starter Scott Chisholm as Chisholm pitched the first six innings, allowing three runs and Strader pitched the final three frames, allowing just one run. Dan Schwartzbauer was 1-2 with two RBI and three runs scored while Corey Bugno was 2-3 with three RBI.

The Dukes return to action tomorrow, Wednesday, March 10 as they face the Pittsburgh Pirates at 10:00 am and Eastern Kentucky at 3:00 pm.
