Bradenton, Fla. - Duquesne University's baseball team got back on the winning track Saturday with a 12-8 come from behind win over Northern Illinois at IMG Academies. Junior Eduardo Vivoni captured his first win of the season, pitching 2 2/3 innings in relief.
The Dukes got out to a 4-0 lead after two innings only to see the Huskies grab a 6-4 edge with a five-run sixth inning. The Dukes responded in the bottom of the frame with six runs to retake the lead, 10-6. Junior designated hitter Bob Reifschneider's (Lower Burrell, PA / Burrell) two-out double highlighted DU's rally. Each team added two more runs for the final 12-8 score. Joe Berletic and Luke Taggart were each 3-4 with two RBI.
Northern Illinois, from the Mid-American Conference, is now 9-6 this season.
The Dukes (5-5) complete their spring trip in Florida with a 10:00 a.m. game against the Big Ten's Indiana University (7-6) on Sunday, March 14, 2004 at IMG.
