Duquesne's women's basketball team hosts Ohio U. in the second game of a New Year's Eve basketball doubleheader at the Palumbo Center at 3:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 31, The Dukes topped Cornell on Tuesday, giving head coach Dan Durkin his 150th win at Duquesne.
The men's team takes on Youngstown State at 1:00 p.m. in the opener.

The Coaches
Dan Durkin is in his 12th season at the helm of the Duquesne women's basketball program and as a head coach. He posts a 150-167 career mark. Durkin is a 1975 graduate of Mount St. Mary's. Lynn Bria is in her six year with the Bobcats and the 12th as a head coach. Bria owns a 58-93 mark at Ohio and is 134-183 on her career. She is a 1990 graduate of Charleston.
The Series
Today marks the fifth meeting between Duquesne and Ohio University. The series is tied 2-2 with the teams last meeting on Dec. 28, 1994. That year, Duquesne suffered an 84-63 loss in Athens. They first met in 1988, also in Athens. Ohio won that meeting 89-90. Duquesne won 81-72 during the 1989 campaign and 74-66 in 1994 - both at the Palumbo Center. Coach Durkin is 2-0 vs. the Bobcats.
