DU-GMU Postgame Quotes

Recap | Box Score | Notes

Duquesne head coach Danny Nee:

"I don't think some key guys came to play tonight. I was disappointed in the effort from some of our starters. College basketball should be played with emotion and passion. DeVario Hudson and Chauncey Duke played well, and Kieron Achara banged away before getting into foul trouble. Our effort just wasn't there. We need contributions from a lot of people to play well. Obviously tonight we didn't do enough things well.
"We had to make a lot of adjustments without Keith Gayden. We are very thin in that area right now. There were times when we had a lineup without a center on the floor and you can't get away with that with a player like Jai Lewis on the floor.
"They played quality basketball. They shot the ball well. We have to go back to the drawing board and get some people healthy."
