Jill Poe Resigns as Women's Basketball Assistant

July 2, 2003

Duquesne University Director of Athletics Brian Colleary announced today the resignation of assistant women's basketball coach, Jill Poe.

Poe has resigned to accept the head coach position with the Saint Francis (PA) University women's basketball program.

Poe has served as an assistant coach under Dan Durkin the past seven years. Since joining the Dukes' program in 1997, Poe has helped Duquesne post four winning seasons and an overall record of 98-101. During her time as an assistant, four student-athletes earned eight Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors while five were lauded to the Academic All-Conference squad a total of seven times.

Poe succeeds former head coach Myndi Hill, who resigned from Saint Francis in June to accept the head women's basketball coaching position at Manhattan College.
