Duquesne University sophomore pitcher Bob Reifschneider (Lower Burrell, PA/Burrell) has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Co-Pitcher of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

Reifschneider set the tone for a three-game sweep at Dayton this past weekend by pitching his team-best seventh complete game in game one's 5-0 victory. He pitched all seven innings, allowed no runs on just three hits and struck out three. Reifschneider also leads the Dukes in ERA at 3.48 and innings pitched with 64 2/3 IP. He is second in strikeouts with 42 and his batting average allowed of .211 is also tops on the squad.

The Dukes (21-22, 12-6 A-10), who tied a school record for conference wins, return to action on Wednesday as they travel to West Virginia for a 7:05 game with the Mountaineers. DU returns to conference play this weekend when it hosts West Division foe Xavier in a three-game weekend series on Friday and Saturday, May 2-3, 2003 at Duquesne Field in Greentree. Game times on both days are noon.
