The baseball team improved to 7-9 with a 12-7 victory over Youngstown State in its home opener at Duquesne Field.

Sean Wilson led the offense with a 2-3 effort with three RBI while John Rieg was 2-4 with a homer and three runs scored. The Dukes used four pitchers including Ken Strader who picked up his first victory of the season.

The Red and Blue open their Atlantic 10 slate this weekend as they host Massachusetts on Saturday and Sunday at noon.
