Red and Blue Split Weekend Contests

Nov. 24, 2003

Duquesne's hockey team moved its record to 10-5 with a weekend split on the road. The Dukes lost at Towson, 5-3 on Saturday, but bounced back for a 1-0 win at Navy on Sunday.

Bill Blakeley scored DU's lone goal in the win over the Midshipmen while Patrick King, Mike Papciak and Adam Gilbert scored in the loss. Clint Hazen posted his second shutout in as many weeks for the Dukes, stopping 31 shots.

The Red and Blue will hang up their skates for the remainder of the year before returning to action on Friday, January 9 as they travel to Pitt for an 8:00 pm contest.
