RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Mike Skrocki scored 10 of his 20 points as Richmond raced to a 32-8 lead and went on to rout Duquesne 84-47 on Tuesday.
Richmond (12-6, 6-1 Atlantic 10 Conference) shot 18-of-30 from the floor in the first half and led 48-19 at the half. The Spiders stretched the lead to 44 with 1:14 remaining, to 84 to 40.
Duquesne (7-13, 1-6) scored only eight field goals in the first half. The loss was the Dukes' fifth straight, including a 75-69 loss at home to the Spiders 10 days ago.
For Richmond, Skrocki hit 8-of-12 field goals and 4-of-7 from 3-point range. Jeff Myers added 12. Kevin Steenberg had a career-high of nine rebounds as the Spiders outrebounded the Dukes 41-to-29.
Duquesne's Brad Midgley had a team-high 13 points. Kevin Forney added 11.
