The Pittsburgh Panthers volleyball team shut out the Duquesne Dukes, 3-0 (30-11, 30-24, 30-18), Tuesday evening at the Fitzgerald Field House on the cross-town rival's campus.
Junior Sarah Morrow (Baytown, Texas / Robert E. Lee) led the Dukes with 10 kills and 11 digs while fellow junior Sarah Brown (Glen Rock, Pa. / Susquehannock) had 23 assists.
The win dropped the Dukes to 7-4. Pitt is also 7-4 though the Panthers have now won five straight competitions.
The Dukes return to tournament competition when the travel to Philadelphia this weekend for the Villanova Tournament with Siena and Radford. The first match is Friday, September 20, 2002, against the host Wildcats at 7:30 p.m.
