Christain Rodriguez

Christain Rodriguez joined the Duquesne University sports medicine staff as an athletic trainer in August of 2025 and works with the cross country and track & field programs.

Rodriguez joins the Dukes after a summer internship with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). Prior to the experience with the Steelers, Rodriguez spent two years at Moravian University in Bethlehem, Pa., where he earned a Master of Science degree in athletic training in May of 2025.

During his studies at Moravian, Rodriguez had a number of athletic training immersive clinicals, including with the Millersville University basketball, baseball and football programs from January to May of 2025, a four-month stint with the football program at the University of North Carolina from July to October of 2024 and a three-month appointment assisting with the spring sports at Saint Joseph's University from March to May of 2024, including the baseball, softball, field hockey and tennis programs. The first immersive clinical for Rodriguez at Moravian came with Lafayette College, where he worked with both the fall and winter teams from October to December of 2023.

Rodriguez is a 2021 graduate of Gettysburg College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in health sciences with a minor in business. He is certified by the Board of Certification and is licensed to practice as an athletic trainer in the state of Pennsylvania by the State Board of Medicine.
