Eddie Larios

Eddie Larios

Eddie Larios was promoted to associate head coach in May of 2024 and enters his first season in the role during the 2024-25 campaign.

Larios enters his third season on the Bluff and fourth year on staff as he served as an assistant coach the last two seasons before joining the Dukes as a volunteer assistant in August of 2021.

Larios spent the 2021-22 season as a volunteer assistant with the team and worked primarily with sprint swimmers. He was part of a staff that helped produce a second-place finish at the A-10 Championships and six NCAA "B" standard times. As a team, the Dukes broke seven school records, including one A-10 Championship record.

Larios brought over a decade of coaching experience at the collegiate, high school and club levels to The Bluff upon his arrival. Prior to Duquesne, he served as an assistant coach at Moon Area High School and has worked as an assistant coach with Steel City Aquatics since 2017.

Larios served as an assistant coach at Boise State from 2012-15 as well as a camp coach and counselor at both Stanford and the University of Georgia in 2014-15.

Larios helped the Tigers' boys and girls teams to WPIAL section titles, as five swimmers qualified for the PIAA state meet and three school records were shattered. He served as the strength and conditioning coordinator for Moon, as well.

Larios has also worked as the dry land/strength and conditioning coordinator and coach for Steel City Aquatics while serving as assistant coach for the senior team and co-head coach for the junior team since 2017.

He helped the Boise State women to a Mountain West Conference championship in 2014 as well as a pair of runner-up finishes in 2013 and 2015. All told, nine Bronco swimmers qualified for the NCAA Division I Championship during those seasons.

In addition, Larios served as head swim coach of Centennial High School in Boise in 2011-12 as well as Rocky Mountain High School in 2015.

Larios graduated from Boise State in 2014 with a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on exercise science.
