HAUSER

Charlie Hauser

A 2011 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and former diving coach at Chatham University, Hauser joined the Duquesne coaching staff as head diving coach prior to the 2017-18 season when the Dukes' diving program was reinstated.

In the first season of competition since the 2000-01 season, Hauser and the DU divers were part of the school's first-ever Atlantic 10 title in 2018.

The Dukes' divers helped Duquesne capture a second-straight A-10 title in 2018-19, recording points on the diving side for the first time since the 1997-98 campaign. Sawyer Weitzel posted an eighth-place showing on the 1-meter boards while Adrienne White placed 11th in the 3-meter dive for the Dukes.

Under Hauser's guidance during the 2019-20 season, freshman diver Sidney O'Donnell became the first Duquesne diver to medal at the A-10 Championship meet since 1996 with a bronze-medal showing on the 1-meter boards at the league championship meet. In addition, she qualified for the NCAA Zone A Diving Championship hosted by West Virginia after posting school-record qualifying marks at the Western Pennsylvania Invitational at Pitt in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives.

While at Chatham, Hauser was named Presidents' Athletic Conference Coach of the Year twice (2015-16, 2016-17). Under his leadership, four Chatham divers were named PAC champions and the team had a total of nine NCAA Division III Regional qualifiers.

In addition to serving as diving coach at Chatham, Hauser has been an assistant coach for the Pitt Aquatic Club since 2007.

As a Panther, Hauser was a four-time Big East Championship qualifier as well as a 2009 Big East Championship finalist. Hauser graduated from Pitt with a degree in environmental studies and currently serves as a Product Administration Specialist with UPMC.
