Victoria Gevaudan Duquesne Assistant Rowing Coach

Victoria Gevaudan

Victoria Gevaudan joined the Duquesne University rowing coaching staff in August of 2024.

"We're so excited to welcome Victoria to our staff," Carlsen said at the time of her hiring. "After hearing from Coach Stone at Notre Dame and Coach Farooq at the University of Washington, I knew Victoria would be a perfect fit for us from all the good things they said. I'm especially thrilled for Victoria to bring her experience and enthusiasm back to Pittsburgh and the Duquesne rowing program."

Gevaudan, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and a graduate of Oakland Catholic, joins the Dukes after an NCAA Division I career with both Notre Dame and Washington. She began her career with the Fighting Irish, spending four years with the program.

While at Notre Dame, Gevaudan helped the Fighting Irish finish fourth as a team in 2023, their highest finish since 2018, while serving as team captain. She spent three seasons as a member of the Varsity 8 and was a four-time ACC All-Academic Team member and was also selected a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National Scholar-Athlete three times.

Gevaudan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience and behavior in 2023 from Notre Dame before spending the 2023-24 season at the University of Washington, where she competed for the Third Varsity 8+ that earned gold at the Opening Day Regatta as well as bronze at the San Diego Crew Classic. Gevaudan, who earned a Master of Education degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership at Washington in May of 2024, began her coaching career by working with Selection Development Camp this summer.

During her prep career at Oakland Catholic, Gevaudan earned three letters and helped the Eagles finished first in the Varsity 8+ and second in the Varsity 4+ at the 2019 Head of the Ohio. The Varsity 4+ also placed fourth that season at the Midwest Championships, while she was a member of the Varsity 8+ at Oakland Catholic as a sophomore that also won the Head of the Ohio.
