Jenn Langzettel, who is in her 14th year with the Dukes, enters her third season at the helm of the Duquesne program after being named head coach in May of 2017.

In her first season, Langzettel helped the Dukes to a sixth-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship, where senior Faith Caldiero was named First Team All-Conference for Duquesne.

Ten Dukes rowers earned College Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar-Athlete honors during the 2017-18 season, the most of any school in the Atlantic 10. In addition, Samantha Dunn - now an assistant coach on Langzettel's staff - was named to the A-10 All-Academic Team.

In 2019, Duquesne's varsity four boat earned a bronze medal at the A-10 Championship, as the Dukes recorded a seventh-place mark. In addition, senior Maggie Cunningham garnered First Team All-Conference honors for the Dukes while seven Duquesne rowers achieved CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors.

Prior to her tenure as head coach of the Dukes, Langzettel was on the Duquesne staff for all of former head coach Joe Setting's 11 seasons at the helm, including 10 as an assistant and one season as associate head coach in 2016-17.

When Setting moved into an administrative role with the athletic department in May of 2017, Langzettel took over the reins of the Dukes' rowing program.

"This is a win-win for us," said Duquesne Director of Athletics Dave Harper. "We are transitioning seamlessly by moving Joe into a professional role in our organization where he can thrive, and placing Jenn as our head coach with a wealth of experience and passion to take the next step in her career. We are blessed to have two great people advance their careers at Duquesne."

In 11 seasons under Setting and Langzettel, the Dukes tallied 17 medals at the A-10 Championship and 17 Duquesne rowers garnered all-conference accolades.

"I am eager to see what lies ahead for this team under Jenn's leadership," Setting said. "She is one of the most talented coaches I have ever worked with and I know that Duquesne rowing is going to continue to thrive under her guidance."

The 2002 graduate of Franklin Pierce College came to the Bluff from Pittsburgh's Fox Chapel High School where she coached the women's novice crew as well as assisting with the men's crew from 2004-06.

Langzettel began her rowing career as a freshman at Franklin Pierce College where she was the stroke of the Varsity 4 her sophomore through senior years. During college, she rowed in several of the top regattas, including the Head of the Charles and Dad Vail, collecting numerous medals as a student-athlete.

She has rowed with the Three Rivers Rowing Association Masters Women and holds a medal in the club eight from the Head of the Charles Regatta with this association.

The Middlebury, Conn. native graduated in December 2007 from Duquesne University's School of Education with her Master's degree in secondary science education. She resides in Allison Park, with her husband, Anthony, and daughters Kaley and Evelyn.
