Austin Pascarella joined the Duquesne University sports medicine staff as an athletic trainer in November of 2023 and works with both men's basketball and women's golf.
Prior to joining the Dukes, Pascarella served as the head athletic trainer for the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League in 2022 and 2023 as well as a staff athletic trainer for the 2023 California Winter League. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2022 as well as a Master of Science in exercise science concentrated in injury prevention and performance enhancement from Penn West University in 2023.Â
Pascarella is a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a Certified Speed Specialist (CSS) through the National Association of Speed and Explosion. He is also a certified athletic trainer by the Board of Certification and is licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania by the PA State Board of Medicine.
