- Was fifth in the A-10 at 5.27 assists per game. His 5.89 apg. in 18 A-10 games ranked second.
- Averaged 11.0 points and 4.7 assists and played outstanding defense in earning MVP honors at the Junkanoo Jam. Duquesne went 3-0 in the event, earning its first in-season tournament title since 2002.
- Held Radford’s Carlik Jones, the Big South Player of the Year (21.5 ppg. entering the game), to nine points on 2-of-10 shooting in DU’s win.
- Scored 14 of his team-high 16 points in the final 7:35 to lead DU to its first-ever win over Davidson.
- Had 14 points, six rebounds and four assists in the win at Saint Joseph’s. Held then A-10 leading scorer Ryan Daly (19.9 ppg.) to three points on 1-of-8 shooting.
- Scored all 11 of his points in the second half - including a 3-pointer that put the Dukes ahead for good with 2:05 left - in the 66-61 win at GW.
- Hit a career-high four 3-pointers (4-of-7) in scoring 20 at UMass. Added seven rebounds, five assists and two steals vs. the Minutemen.
- Added 10 points, nine assists and six rebounds in the win over La Salle.
- Had four more 3-pointers (4-of-6) and added eight assists in the win at Saint Louis. It was his second eight-assist game vs. the Billikens in 2020.
- Scored all 17 of his points in the second half of the Feb. 8 loss to St. Bonaventure. Finished the game with eight assists and zero turnovers.
- Scored 12 of his 17 points in the final 7:40 to help DU rally from a 14-point deficit to within two in the final minute of the 70-67 loss to GW.
- Had 21 points and six assists with one turnover in 37 minutes at #5 (AP) Dayton.
- Scored 14 of his 18 points after the half in the overtime win at St. Bonaventure. Hit a pair of free throws with 13 seconds left to force OT and hit two more with six seconds left to seal the 81-77 win. Added a career-high 11 assists - one shy of the school record - for his first career double-double in helping the Dukes snap an 11-game losing streak at Reilly Center.
- Tied his season high with 23 points on 10 field goal attempts vs. George Mason (10-of-15 from the foul line).
As a Freshman (2018-19)
- Started all 28 games in which he played.
- Led the Atlantic 10 in assists per game (5.8) and finished second in steals per game (2.4) on his way to earning a spot on the A-10 All-Rookie Team.
- Was just the fifth freshman in A-10 history - and second player in DU history - to lead the conference in assists (DU's Martin Osimani led the A-10 in assists in 2003-04).
- Ranked first among the nation’s freshmen in steals per game (14th overall nationally) and fifth among freshmen in assists per game (29th overall nationally).
- Was the team’s second-leading scorer at 12.1 ppg. His 13.4 points per game in A-10 play was second only to Eric Williams Jr.’s 13.6 ppg.
- His 161 assists were two shy of the freshman record of 163 set by Clayton Adams in 1987-88.
- Had a 1.9-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio (161-to-83).
- His 5.75 apg. average was the best-ever by a DU freshman and second-best in school history (since assists were first recorded as an official stat by the NCAA in 1983-84).
- His 2.43 steals per game average was the second-best by a DU freshman, behind only T.J. McConnell’s 2.84 spg. in 2010-11. It was the fourth-best steals/g. average in school history.
- Scored in double digits 18 times to go along with six games with eight or more assists.
- Had nine assists in 29 turnover-free minutes in the opener vs. William & Mary. The nine assists were the most by a freshman in a season opener.
- Followed that by scoring 23 of his 32 points in the second half to help DU erase a 14-point second half deficit and defeat UIC in overtime. Sent the UIC game to OT with a driving layup at the end of regulation. Was 13-of-20 from the field (3-of-6 from 3-point) and added eight assists, six rebounds and four steals in 38 minutes. The 32 points tied the second-most by a DU freshman (two behind the record of 34 set by Eric Williams Jr. vs. George Mason in 2018).
- Scored 14 of his 19 points in the second half vs. Marshall. Added seven assists, five rebounds and five steals in the win. Played in integral role in holding Marshall’s Jon Elmore (21.4 ppg.) to 12 points on 2-of-11 shooting.
- Had 15 points, six rebounds, six assists and six steals vs. Penn State. The six steals were most by a Duke since Nov. 18, 2011 (Eric Evans vs. UDC). Added 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals before fouling out of the 85-84 OT win over Eastern Kentucky to earn A-10 Rookie of the Week (Dec. 24).
- Scored a team-high 17 points and limited A-10 Player of the Year Jon Axel Gudmundsson (17.8 ppg.) to 12 points (0-of-4 from 3-point) at Davidson. Held Fordham’s Nick Honor (16.4 ppg.) - a fellow A-10 All-Rookie pick - to 11 points on 5-of-17 shooting on Jan. 9.
- Had a team-high 21 points and six assists in helping the Dukes to their first win at Richmond since 1993 and followed that with 21 points, six rebounds and eight assists in 42 minutes in the OT win at GW to earn co-A-10 Rookie of the Week (Jan. 21).
- Came back to post 14 of his 16 points and six of his seven assists in the second half to help DU erase a 19-point halftime deficit in the win over URI.
- Scored 11 of his 14 in the second half of DU’s 18-point comeback at Fordham.
- Missed four games due to knee soreness: Jan. 26 vs. VCU (L), Feb. 23 at George Mason (W), Feb. 27 at St. Bonaventure (L) and Mar. 2 vs. UMass (W). Had arthroscopic surgery on his knee on Feb. 26.
- Made his return on Mar. 6 at Saint Louis.
High School
- Averaged 23.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game as a senior in earning first team All-Ohio honors.
- Helped lead Solon to a school record 27 wins (27-2) and first Ohio High School Athletic Association state championship game appearance in 2017-18.
- Averaged 28.0 points and 7.5 assists in state Division 1 final four games vs. Pickerington Central (29 points, 11 assists, five steals) and Archbishop Moeller (27 points). Scored 21 of his 29 in the second half in leading the Comets back from a 10-point halftime deficit vs. Pickerington Central.
- Was one of 10 finalists for 2018 Mr. Ohio Basketball.
- Averaged 19.4 points per game on his way to being named first team all-district and third team All-Ohio as a junior.
- Highlighted his junior season by scoring 38 points along with 10 rebounds, seven assists and five steals vs. Cleveland St. Ignatius – the top-ranked team in the Cleveland Metro Area.
Personal
- Changed his jersey number from 35 to 10 following his freshman season. Received permission from all-time great Norm Nixon to don the #10 which had been out of circulation since it was retired on Jan. 27, 2001.
- Got his first name from the character played by the rapper Nas in the movie “Belly” (1998).
- Originally committed to Division II West Liberty (W.Va.) University out of high school.
