Second season at Duquesne
William Swartz, a former Division III player and coach, joined the DU staff as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2023.
Swartz, who played two seasons at both Wittenberg and Heidelberg, served as an assistant coach at Bluffton University (Bluffton, Ohio) prior to joining the DU staff. His responsibilities at Bluffton ranged from recruiting and player development to film breakdown and scouting. He also created a strength and conditioning program and coordinated and executed multiple JV head coach duties.
A native of Rittman, Ohio, Swartz lettered and was part of an NCAA National Tournament team in each of his four seasons as a player.
Prior to college, Swartz attended Rittman High School where he was a four-year letterman, three-year starter and two-year caption. He led the Indians, which tied the school record for wins, to a district and league championship, all while earning All-Ohio honors as a senior.
