Greg Perry

Longtime prep head coach Greg Perry joined Head Coach Jerry Schmitt's staff in 2022 and will enter his second season on the Dukes' sideline.

Perry arrived on The Bluff after spending 30 years coaching high school football in western Pennsylvania, including 19 as a head coach. Prior to Duquesne, he was the head coach for eight seasons at his alma mater Keystone Oaks. He got the program to the playoffs in seven of his eight seasons as head coach, including a pair of appearances in the WPIAL Semifinals.

Perry was the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator at Seton LaSalle High School from 2005-2013 and helped lead the Rebels to a trio of WPIAL Semifinal appearances. He spent nearly 20 years roaming the Seton LaSalle sidelines after previously serving as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator from 1994-2004, during which the Rebels won a pair of WPIAL Championships (2002 & 2004) and were a state finalist in 2002.

Perry has worked with seven all-state quarterbacks during his high school coaching career, including Bruce Gradkowski, Bill Stull, Shane Patterson, Matt Rodgers, Luke Brumbaugh, current Duquesne offensive coordinator Anthony Doria and former Duquesne quarterback Alex Smith.

Perry got his start in coaching in 1990 as the quarterback coach at South Fayette High School under Schmitt, who was the head coach at the time.

Perry lives in Greentree with his wife Kelley. They are the parents of two daughters Ashley and Lindsey, and also have five grandchildren
