SCHENLEY OVAL COURSE

From the EAST
Exit the PA Turnpike (I-76) at Exit 57 – Monroeville/Pittsburgh. Get on I-376 toward Pittsburgh after exiting the PA Turnpike. Take I-376 to Exit 73B – Oakland via Bates St. At the bottom of the exit ramp, make a right turn and go uphill (Rt. 885 North) on Bates St. At the first light, make a right turn onto the Blvd of the Allies. Stay on the Blvd of the Allies through 2 stoplights. Just after the second stoplight, you will cross the Anderson Bridge.
At the far end of the Anderson Bridge, there is an abrupt right exit (turn-off) for the Schenley Oval. You should see the swimming pool on your right just before you reach this turn. You are on Overlook Road now. Stay on Overlook Road for about 0.7 miles asit curves and runs uphill. When the road flattens you are at the Schenley Oval and you can park anywhere along the side of the road.
From the SOUTH and WEST
Get on I-376 Eastbound (the “old” Parkway West) and go toward Pittsburgh. Take I-376 into the city through the Fort Pitt Tunnels. After the tunnel you will cross the Fort Pitt Bridge and at the far end of the bridge you will make a right staying on I-376 toward Monroeville. Stay on I-376 until Exit 72A – Forbes Ave/Oakland. You will only be on Forbes Ave. for about ¼ mile. The first light you will come to is Craft Ave. Make a right turn onto Craft Ave and go one block to the Blvd of the Allies. Make a left turn onto the Blvd of the Allies. Go through 4 lights while on the Blvd of the Allies. After the 4th light, you will cross the Anderson Bridge.
At the far end of the Anderson Bridge, there is an abrupt right exit (turn-off) for the Schenley Oval. You should see the swimming pool on your right just before you reach this turn. You are on Overlook Road now. Stay on Overlook Road for about 0.7 miles as it curves and runs uphill. When the road flattens you are at the Schenley Oval and you can park anywhere along the side of the road.
From the NORTH
Get on I-279 (the Parkway North) from I-79 at Exit 72 and go southbound toward Pittsburgh. Take the Veteran’s Bridge Exit (Exit 2A) onto I -579 S. I-579 is only about 1 mile in length. You will stay on I-579 South until Exit 2 (885 South / I-376 to Monroeville). Exit 2 puts you onto the Blvd of the Allies going eastbound. Stay on the Blvd of the Allies as it leads toward Schenley Park. The first light you will come to on the Blvd of the Allies is Craft Ave. Go straight through this light and the next 4 lights. After the last light, you will go across the Anderson Bridge.
