As a Freshman at Memphis (2002-03)
Received a medical hardship waiver after undergoing surgery Nov. 5, 2002 to have a metal rod placed in his lower leg to repair a stress fracture to his tibia suffered in practice on Nov. 1 ... played a total of two minutes in mid-December games against Missouri and Ole Miss before a decision was made to petition the NCAA for a medical redshirt which sidelined him the remainder of the year ... had a second surgery on the leg during the summer of 2003.
