POINTS OF EMPHASIS
Trailing, 1-0, Duquesne was able to tie the score and earn a point against the Spiders late. Senior

Paige Kuisis trying to redirect the ball into the goal. The ball hit the near post and ricocheted back out, and freshman
Claire Beasley was in position, burying the opportunity at 81:12. The Dukes stayed on the attack and almost came up with the game-winning goal late, but a shot from senior
Anna Bundy sailed over the crossbar high with under two minutes to play.
POINT EARNED
Duquesne almost had the lead in the first half, as Gwen Howell was called for a handball, giving the Dukes a penalty shot. Senior
Jayden Sharpless was awarded the shot from the spot, but Veronica Rrapi came up with the save for the Spiders. Sharpless tried to bury the ball in the lower right corner of the goal, but Rrapi leaned left and made a diving save, punching the ball back out into play. Richmond (5-0-5 | 0-0-2 Atlantic 10) was held to a pair of shots in the first half but were able to open the scoring just over 12 minutes into the second half. Emma Newman fired a shot that senior goalkeeper
