Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Duquesne University bowling team concluded its 2025-26 regular season Sunday by finishing sixth at the Stallings Invitational in Greensboro, N.C., at Triad Lanes. The Dukes finished with a mark of 8-5 during the competition and have logged an overall record of 59-42 (.584) during the 2025-26 campaign.
BAKER ROLLS
Duquesne opened the tournament Friday in Baker action, posting a record of 4-1 on the first day. The Dukes earned a 981-811 victory over Saint Anselm before posting a 1,014-884 triumph over Emmanuel. The only loss of the day came against No. 6 Nebraska (1,178-881), but Duquesne regrouped to defeat Lewis, 1,027-848, and Alabama A&M, 834-771. The lineup for the Dukes in Baker play included freshmen

TRADITIONAL
Moving into traditional play Saturday at Triad Lanes, the Dukes finished with a mark of 3-2. Dropping a pair of contests against ranked foes to open traditional action, including a 1,053-834 setback to No. 1 Jacksonville State as well as a 904-856 loss to No. 8 Youngstown State, Duquesne closed out the second day of competition with three consecutive wins. The Dukes earned a 988-866 victory over Prairie View A&M, downed Florida A&M, 979-807, and defeated Belmont Abbey, 932-739, in the final traditional match of the afternoon.
BAKER ROLLS PART DEUX
Baker continued her torrid start to the 2026 calendar year at the Stallings Invitational, finishing fourth individually. In five games she averaged 219.40 per game, knocking down a total of 1,097 pins and trailing only three individuals from JSU. Baker opened with a 235 against the Gamecocks before finishing with a 191 against the Penguins. She rebounded to finish with a 215 in the win over the Panthers before firing a 245 in the triumph over the Rattlers. Rounding out traditional play in the win over Belmont Abbey, Baker rolled a 211. The performance at the Stallings Invitational marks her third consecutive finish in the top five individually to close out the regular season, a stretch that also includes the top crown at the Mount Shootout in early February.
AT THE TOP
Jacksonville State won the Stallings Invitational with a record of 12-0, knocking off Youngstown State, which finished second with a record of 12-1. Nebraska closed in third with a record of 11-2, while North Carolina A&T (6-6) and Bryant (8-4) round out the top five teams in a field that included 21 programs. The Dukes finished with 12,401 total pins at the Stallings Invitational, an average of 185.1 per game. Duquesne closed in seventh in total pins, with the Cornhuskers taking the top spot with 13,612 in 68 games, an average of 200.2 per game. The Gamecocks played a total of 62 games, accumulating 13,324 total pins and an average score of 214.9.
STRIKES & SPARES
The high score for Duquesne in Baker action to open the tournament Friday came in game two against Lewis with a 252 … Also in game two of their first action of the day in Baker, the Dukes fired a 245 after posting a 224 in game one to open up a commanding 177-pin lead … Duquesne fell behind after game one by 33 pins, 195-162, against Emmanuel before turning the tide in game two with a 235-187 victory … In five games of traditional action, Fraticelli knocked down 923 total pins, an average of 184.60, to finish 28th individually out a field that featured 155 participants … Siekierski averaged 179.20 in traditional play to finish 34th, while Scott was 23 pins behind with an average of 174.60 to close 41st … Miller averaged 158.50 per game over the first four traditional games before Clark played in game five, firing a 215 in the win over Belmont Abbey.
