Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Duquesne University women's rowing team wrapped up its 2024-25 season Saturday, finishing seventh at the Atlantic 10 Championship in Pennsauken, N.J., at Cooper River Park. The Dukes accumulated 20 points.
Claiming the 2025 title was Rhode Island, which earned its fourth championship in the last five years and 11th overall with a total of 52 points. George Washington finished second with 48 points, followed by Massachusetts (38), Saint Joseph's (35), La Salle (31) and Fordham (28). Following Duquesne and rounding out the field was George Mason (12) and Dayton (0).
The Varsity 4 finished second in its heat, with sophomore
Serena DeCosmo serving as coxswain and helping the Dukes close at 8:19.250. In the Grand Final, Duquesne crossed the finish line with a time of 8:30.996 to earn fifth.
The Second Varsity 4 earned silver, closing with a time of 8:34.614 to trail only UMass and finishing ahead of George Washington (8:48.840), La Salle (9:03.029) and George Mason (9:35.523). In the coxswain seat for Duquesne was senior

Junior
Paige Engel was coxswain for the Varsity 8, which won the Petite Final thanks to a time of 6:54.369, outlasting both George Mason (7:04.411) and Dayton (7:06.146). In heat action, the Varsity 8 for the Dukes finished at 7:11.159.
Senior
Olivia Sullivan was the bow seat for the Dukes in the Varsity 8, and she was named to the 2025 Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team for her performance.
The Second Varsity 8 had sophomore
Jessica DeSaro as coxswain, and she helped the Dukes also win the Petite Final with a final time of 7:35.784 after opening with a time of 7:28.711 in heat competition. In the Petite Final of the Second Varsity 8, Duquesne again knocked off George Mason (8:05.753) and Dayton (8:12.215).
Also in Varsity 8 competition, the Third Varsity 8 for Duquesne posted a time of 8:24.077. Serving as coxswain was sophomore
Kat Muha.
