PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne University men's and women's track & field teams will compete at the UVA Challenge on Friday Apr. 18 and Saturday Apr. 19 in Charlottesville, Va. Duquesne will also feature competitors at the Benson/Hodge Memorial, hosted by Robert Morris in Moon Township, Pa.

- Christian Cupp, Rose Kuchera and Halle Walcutt all set new program records at Bucknell
- Cupp set a program record in the decathlon and was one of three Dukes to record a top-five score in program history with Colm Matheney and Cody Mankowski also joining the record book

Men
- Christian Cupp set a program-best score in the decathlon with his total of 6,745 at Bucknell. Cupp was joined by teammates Colm Matheney (6,300) and Cody Mankowski (5,928), who rank second and fourth in DU history respectively.
- Graduate transfer Ian Baughman improved on his second-best 400-meter hurdle time in program history with his 52.30-second finish. Baughman was joined by Isaac Wetzel who improved on his fifth-best time after finishing in 54.45 seconds.
- David Williams moved into third place in Duquesne's record book in the 200 meters, finishing in 21.43 seconds at Bucknell.
- Freshman Louie Liberatore is second in the Duquesne record book after a 61.08-meter (200-5) javelin throw at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational … this is the third time Liberatore has recorded the second-best throw in program history.
- Freshman Joseph Klanchar owns the third-best javelin distance in Duquesne history after his toss of 56.15 meters (184-3) at GMU.
- David Williams tied his third-place time in the 400 meters in program history (47.61 seconds) and Carnegie Mellon..
- Rocco Caprara's 46.23-meter (151-8) toss in the hammer throw at GMU re-setting his mark for the fifth spot in the Duquesne record book.
- Christian Cupp posted the best long jump by a Duke since 2018, tying Nehari Crawford for fifth all-time with a distance of 7.04 meters (23-1.25) at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational.
Women
- Rose Kuchera set a new program record in the triple jump for the second straight week Bucknell a week after with her mark of 12.52 meters (41-1) en route to being named A-10 Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week.
- Anna Rorrer improved on her then-fourth-best time in the 100-meter hurdles, moving into third place with her time of 14.19 seconds at Bucknell..
- Mara Whalen recorded the second-fastest time in the 1,500 meters (4:28.18) and the fifth-fastest time in the 800 meters (2:10.45) and GMU.
- Mia Pierce recorded a distance of 47.74 meters (155-9) in the discus at the CMU Invitational, which is good for third place in DU history.
- Nadia Constantakis reset her program record in the pole vault at the CMU Invitational ... Constantakis cleared a 3.76-meter (12-4) mark the week after breaking the program record for the first time.
- Rose Kuchera made her outdoor debut with the fifth-best long jump in program history (5.83m / 19-1.5) at Charlotte.
SEASON HONORS
Men
- Liberatore was named Rookie of the Week for the second straight week, becoming the second Duke to accomplish the feat after he recorded the second-best javelin distance in program history at George Mason.
- Louie Liberatore was named Co-Rookie of the Week after he recorded the second-best javelin throw in Duquesne history and in the A-10 at the CMU Invitational. Liberatore's distance also put him at the ninth spot in the javelin throw among all competitors in the NCAA Division I Mid-Atlantic Region
Women
- Kuchera earned her second consecutive Rookie of the Week award after resetting the program record in the triple jump at Bucknell. Kuchera's distance was good for second in the A-10 and led all rookies. She ranked sixth in the DI Mid-Atlantic Region in the triple jump, leading all freshmen.
- Rose Kuchera became the fourth Duke to win Rookie of the Week in the indoor and outdoor seasons after she finished first in the long jump, setting a new program record at George Mason. Kuchera's distance qualifies her for the USA Track & Field U20s.
