Tampa, Fla. – Duquesne women's basketball senior guard Megan McConnell has been selected to participate in the 2025 Lilly Women's College All-Star Game, set for April 5 from Hillsborough Community College-Mabry Campus in Tampa, Fla., as part of the city-wide Final Four festivities. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2 with the opening tip set for 3:00 p.m.

The Lilly Women's College All-Star Game will provide 20 of the country's brightest stars one final opportunity to represent their programs and be recognized against the backdrop of the sport's championship weekend. Intersport, an award-winning Chicago-based agency that first launched a national women's college basketball all-star event alongside the WBCA 25 years ago, will host the event.

McConnell has crafted one of the most illustrious careers in a Duquesne uniform. She became the first player since Jocelyn Floyd in 2013 to earn Defensive Player of the Year honors, making her just the fourth player in program history to achieve this distinction. Her defensive prowess also earned her a spot as one of five finalists for the 2025 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award, making her the only mid-major player named to the Naismith Women's Defensive Player of the Year Watch List. A Pittsburgh native, McConnell continued to collect accolades, securing a place on the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Midseason Watch List and earning All-Conference First Team honors, along with selections to the All-Defensive and All-Academic Teams.

The senior guard capped off her career as one of Duquesne's all-time greats, finishing second on the program's scoring list with 1,795 points while becoming the school's all-time leader in both steals (370) and assists (660). She also amassed 1,079 career rebounds, the second-most in Duquesne history, while setting program records for games played (144) and career starts (136). McConnell's dominance extended into her senior season, where she tallied 626 points, the fourth-most in a single season at Duquesne, while leading the conference with 18.4 points per game, a mark that ranks sixth all-time. On the defensive end, she recorded 138 steals, the second-most in a single season, while her 4.06 takeaways per game ranked second nationally. She also dished out a career-best 171 dimes, the eighth-most in program history, and knocked down 74 three-pointers, tying for seventh all-time.

Adding to her remarkable legacy, the Chartiers Valley product set a Duquesne record with four career triple-doubles and was one of just three players in NCAA Division I to record multiple triple-doubles this season. McConnell's consistency and all-around excellence were on full display throughout her career, as she finished with 93 games scoring in double figures, 72 games with five or more assists, 43 contests with four or more steals, 32 double-doubles, and 18 career 20-point performances.

In addition to her all-star selection, McConnell will also be participating in the inaugural Women's College All-Star Combine, also presented by Lilly. The combine will kick off the weekend's festivities, as that will be held Friday, April 4. Draft-level prospects hoping to make one final impression will take part in the general testing, position-specific drill work and controlled scrimmages in front of professional scouts.
