  • National Ranking: Duquesne held steady at No. 9 in the CTCA midseason rankings ahead of the national qualifiers, matching its preseason position. The Dukes placed ninth at last year's Division I national championships.
  • National Championship Competitors:
  • Regional Roundup: Kadence Ribbink's finish at the East National Qualifier two weeks ago in Lake Norman State Park marked the first top-20 individual result for Duquesne in a national qualifier and the best in the program's three-year history. The freshman from Durban, South Africa, posted the team's fastest swim (10:03), bike (34:36) and run (17:49), earning top-10 marks in both the swim and run, including the sixth-best run overall. Kate Potashnik (1:08:19.4) and Mikele Jopson (1:08:35.4) finished back-to-back in 29th and 30th, while Vivien Mattice placed 32nd in the 66-finisher field with a time of 1:08:45.4. Freshman Catherine Staley overcame a race crash to place 36th (1:10:30). The Dukes finished fifth in the Division I team standings and seventh overall among all teams.
  • Nationals History: In its third year as a program, Duquesne placed ninth in Division I at last year's championship race. In year one, Robyn Hunt led the Dukes with a 65th-place finish out of 208 athletes in 1:10:03. She was second on the team last year, finishing 53rd in 1:05:29. Eliza Miller led Duquesne last year with the program-best finish at 36th overall. Hunt (65th in 2023, 53rd last year) and Potashnik (92nd in 2023, 58th last year) are the only Dukes competing in all three national championship races to date. Vivien Mattice will compete in her second, having placed 61st last year.
  • On the World Stage: In mid-October, Ribbink competed at the World Triathlon Junior Championships, placing 34th overall in 1:08:59.
