PITTSBURGH – The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) released the 2026 season schedule on Tuesday. Duquesne, entering its second season, will compete in six regular-season meets, including three at home and three on the road. The season opens Feb. 12 at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse against West Liberty.
After hosting West Liberty, the Dukes will travel north to face Gannon on Feb. 20 in a rematch of last year's season opener. Duquesne then hosts Azusa Pacific on March 4 before road meets at Fairmont State (March 15) and 10-time defending national champion Baylor (March 28). The regular season concludes April 9 at home against first-year program La Salle. The NCATA National Championships are scheduled for April 23-26 at Azusa Pacific in California.
Three of the six opponents finished the 2025 regular season ranked in the top 10: Gannon (10), Azusa Pacific (9) and Baylor (1). Duquesne will face three rematches from last season, including wins over Gannon (253.060-251.320) and West Liberty (252.515-239.795) and a loss to Baylor (275.030-256.210).
Head coach
Michaela Soper leads the Dukes after a historic inaugural season, finishing 4-3 overall. Duquesne opened its program with a monumental win over No. 3 Gannon and started 3-0 in program history.
