Pittsburgh, Pa. – The 2024 NIL Store Awards, powered by Campus Ink, celebrates the best and brightest from the 2023-24 academic year and features the Duquesne University men's basketball program.
One of four nominees in the Merch Moment of the Year is the Duquesne men's basketball 1977 throwback NIL jersey, which commemorates the Dukes on their run to the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship and subsequent bid to the NCAA Tournament. Duquesne is up against Jack Gohkle of Oakland men's basketball, Lance Jones of Purdue men's hoops and Hunter Poncius of North Dakota State football.
Duquesne is also one of four nominees for Best School Activation of the Year for their throwback 1977 jersey, joining Nebraska volleyball, Purdue men's and women's basketball pop-up store and Western Kentucky football.
Alumni, fans and staff of the Dukes can vote at
nil.store/awards until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 23. The awards lead into #NILDay July 1, 2024, which recognizes the third anniversary of the passing of NIL legislation, and features an array of categories from the 2023-24 academic year, highlighting athletes, administrators and school partners.
The Duquesne men's basketball program finished with an overall record of 25-12 (.676) during the 2023-24 season, including a mark of 10-8 (.556) in the Atlantic 10. The Dukes earned their first win in the NCAA Tournament since 1969 thanks to a 71-67 triumph over BYU in Omaha, Neb., at the CHI Health Center.
