PITTSBURGH – Fresh off its sixth straight win, the Duquesne University football team has entered both national, FCS top-25 polls in Week 10 after receiving votes for seven straight weeks. The Dukes are 24th in the
AFCA Coaches Poll, presented by Hudl, and 25th in the
Stats Perform Poll.
Duquesne (6-2, 3-0 NEC) is one of six remaining unbeaten teams in FCS play with a perfect conference record, a win over then No. 21/20 Youngstown State and last week's defeat of Mercyhurst. In three conference games, the Dukes have outscored opponents 133-62.
This is Duquesne's first national ranking since the Apr. 5, 2021 Stats Perform Poll tied for 25th and first appearance in the coaches poll since the final 2018 poll (24th). It is the second time DU is ranked in both polls at the same time since joining the NEC. The Dukes are also the first ranked team in the NEC since Sacred Heart in the final spring 2021 poll.
Fellow NEC unbeaten Robert Morris visits the Bluff
this Saturday for a noon kick at Rooney Field in the first matchup between the local programs since 2019. The Colonials are receiving votes in the coaches poll.
