BRIDGEWATER, N.J. -- Duquesne senior quarterback Darius Perrantes has been named the Northeast Conference (NEC) Offensive Player of the Week for Week 6 after a career day in the conference-opening win over LIU. Redshirt junior running back JaMario Clements was also named an NEC Prime Performer.

Perrantes, who was also named an honorable mention for Stats Perform FCS National Offensive Player of the Week, tied a Rooney Field record with a career-high five passing touchdowns and rushed in another to tie a single-game program record for touchdowns responsible for (6). The senior out of Los Angeles, Calif. finished 15-for-23 with 212 yards passing. Eight of the 15 completions were for 10+ yards and five went for 18+, including touchdown passes of 44 and 45 yards. Perrantes moved into fifth all-time at Duquesne in career touchdown passes with his first TD throw and now has a total of 52 in his fourth season as a Duke. It is the fifth NEC Offensive Player of the Week honor of his career and first of the season.

Clements carried the ball a career-high 20 times and eclipsed the 100-yard mark for the second time this season (204 at YSU) and third time in his career. The Lafayette, Ga. native totaled 147 yards on the ground, 134 of which came in the first half. Clements had five rushes of 10+ yards with a long of 29 yards.

Duquesne (3-2, 1-0 NEC) will travel to Saint Francis (2-3, 0-1 NEC) this Saturday for the 50th all-time meeting. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+ with a noon kick.
