RICHMOND, Va. - The Duquesne University volleyball team fell in four sets for the second straight day at VCU in an Atlantic 10 battle Saturday evening.

Carsyn Henschen led the team in kills for the fourth straight match, slamming 15 to the hardwood. Chloe Wilmot dished out a game-high 44 assists along with 16 digs, her sixth match with 40+ assists this season and sixth double-double. 

Morgan Gish just missed a fourth straight double-double with 12 kills and nine digs. Madison Grimm led three Dukes with 16+ digs at 23. 

After a back-and-forth battle in the opening set reached a 19-19 tie, VCU won six of the final seven rallies to go up 1-0 with a 25-20 victory. The Rams (7-7, 4-0) hit .375 in the first set. 

Duquesne (6-6, 1-3) had its most efficient attacking set in the second frame posting a .326 hit percentage, which helped propel them to a 25-18 win. DU went on a 7-1 run midway through to go up 17-11. Henschen and Gish each had two kills on the run. VCU came back within three (21-18) but four straight rallies went to the Dukes for the set victory. 

Duquesne battled to a three-point deficit (23-20) late in set three with a 5-1 spurt, but back-to-back points won by the Rams gave them the set (25-20) and a 2-1 match lead. 

VCU scored six of the first seven points in the fourth frame and never looked back, adding an 8-0 run late to take the set and clinch the match in convincing fashion.  

Duquesne will be back home for the first time in over a month on Tuesday hosting Dayton at 5 pm inside the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
