WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- The Dukes have 27 competitors in the top-10 of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
- Two-time medalist and reigning gold-medal winner
Emily Brozeski will be in action in the heptathlon, an event she also holds the DU record in. Brozeski has competed once this season in the heptathlon, however she did win the pentathlon at the A-10 Indoor Championships in February. Teammate
Jamelah Carswell's season-high 4261 points at Bucknell earlier this year puts her fourth in the A-10 and fifth all-time at DU, and right in contention for a medal.
- School-record holder
Alyssa Willis enters the meet with the fourth-fastest time in the A-10 this season, she will look to qualify for the finals and potentially medal in the 100m dash for the first time in her career. Willis also ranks 10th in the 200m dash, a race she finished in eighth place in a year ago.
- Freshman
Madelyn Moretti will look to continue an impressive freshman season, featuring a pair of A-10 weekly awards and a school record in the shot put. She enters the meet second in the A-10 with the opportunity to be the first shot-put medalist from Duquesne since Ashley Adams won bronze in 2014. DU has never won gold in women's shot put at the A-10 Outdoor Championships.
- Junior
Sadie Wetzel will vie for her first medal at high jump, entering third in the A-10.
- Men's triple jump champion
Logan Williamson will be back to defend his gold medal (15.01m). He also took silver in 2021, clearing the second-highest bar in DU history (15.28m). Williamson went over 14.61m in his only meet of 2023, putting him 5th in the A-10 this season.Â
-
David Williams is the lone returner in the men's 4x100m relay, but the group has already found its way on the all-time leaderboard at DU and will look to make it three straight medals for the Dukes in the event after a gold medal run in 2022 and bronze in 2021.
- The women's 4x400m relay has the 2nd-fastest time in the A-10 this season, while the  4x800m relay teams come into the meet ranked third (men) and fourth (women).

She was also named the A-10 Co-Rookie of the Week after a stellar opening weekend on March 21, where she posted a 13.98m (45-10 ½) shot put finishing runner-up at the Charlotte 49er Classic, the second-best mark in DU history (at the time) in her first outdoor meet, then a 37.41m (121-10) mark in discus placing eighth.
-
Jalin Cooper closed out the regular season with the first A-10 weekly honor for the Duquesne men. Cooper, a senior from Medina, N.Y., ran a personal-best 10.70 in the 100m dash, which was good for the fifth fastest time in program history, at last weekend's Red Flash Open, hosted by Saint Francis (PA), finishing runner-up in the meet.
