Robinson Earns Back-to-Back NEC Rookie of the Week Honors

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Duquesne's Edward Robinson has earned Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week honors for the second straight week, the league announced this afternoon.

Robinson, a freshman from Maple Heights, Ohio, led the Dukes on the ground for the third consecutive game with eight carries for 86 yards and a touchdown at nationally ranked Delaware on Saturday. His touchdown run was the longest of the season for Duquesne, breaking loose for a 68-yard score to put the Dukes in front 17-15 midway through the second quarter.
 
Robinson now leads the DU rushing attack this season with 292 yards (6.8 yards per carry) and two touchdowns, which have come in back-to-back games.

The Dukes will be back home for the first time since Week One on Saturday for their NEC home opener against Central Connecticut State. Kick off from Rooney Field is slated for 12 pm.
