BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Two-time Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week
Edward Robinson has been named an NEC Prime Performer for Week Nine after posting his first career 100-yard rushing game in the dominating, 27-0 Duquesne win over Sacred Heart.
Robinson finished the game with an early career-best 120 yards on 16 carries and scored his third touchdown of the season. His score came from 33-yards out, bursting through an open hole and into the endzone to extend the DU lead to 27-0 in the third quarter. Robinson's 120 rushing yards were the most in a game this season by a Duke and ranked third in the NEC overall for the week.
The freshman from Maple Heights, Ohio now has 449 rushing yards on the season and averages 6.4 yards per carry, ranking seventh and fourth in the NEC, respectively.
The Dukes are now 4-0 in the NEC and have a two-game lead in the loss column at the top of the standings. Duquesne travels to Wagner this weekend looking to clinch at least a share of its sixth conference title.
