YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Duquesne indoor track team continues competition this weekend at the Penn State National and the Youngstown State Mid-Major. The PSU National takes place Friday and Saturday while the YSU Mid-Major is on Friday.

Last week at the YSU College Invite, junior 
Alyssa Willis finished fifth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.69 and set a new PR of 7.63 in the 60m dash prelims. Sophomore 
David Williams placed first in the 60m dash qualifier with a time of 7.03, which was a new PR.
 
Willis and Williams were named Duquesne's Track and Field Performers of the Week.
 
Junior 
Emily Brozeski finished fourth in the 60m hurdles finals with a time of 8.86 after qualifying with a time of 8.96. Sophomore 
Jamelah Carswell (ninth, 9.24), sophomore 
Halle Walcutt (18th, 9.69) and junior 
Anna Baxter (24th, 9.95) all set PRs in the event.
 
Junior 
Hannah Seitzinger (57.53) placed third in the 400m dash, sophomore 
Amy Allen finished (58.21) fifth, sophomore 
Kaylin Cousin (59.95) finished ninth and junior 
Faith Mucci (1:00.18) finished 12th.
 
All three Duquesne men's runners in the 3,000m finished in the top-15 – junior 
Zack Toth (8:36.47) placed fourth, junior 
Casey Padgett (8:41.13) placed sixth and freshman 
Nathaniel Woshner (8:53.18) placed 15th.

The Dukes competed in their first indoor event of the year at the Akron Quad a couple weeks ago.
 
Toth took the 3000 meters with a PR of 8:46.19. 
Brozeski was second in the 60 meter hurdles with a personal best time of 8.77, second in the long jump (5.19m / 17' 0.5") and set another personal best in finishing fifth in the shot put (12.38m / 40' 7.5").
Mucci placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:00.11 and fellow sophomore 
Mara Whalen was second in the 800 meter dash finishing in 2:16.91.
Freshman 
Ryley Schwalm took second in the mile run (5:17.24), finishing two seconds ahead of teammate Olivia Watson, who placed third (5:19.44).
Freshman 
Madelyn Moretti took second in the shot with a throw of 13.33m (43' 9").
Sadie Wetzel won the high jump (1.63m / 5' 4.25') and 
Jamelah Carswell finished behind Brozeski in the long jump with a leap of 5.18 (17' 0").
Haley Hamilton won the 3000 with a personal best time of 10:34.44 and the foursome of
 Allen, 
Whalen, 
Cousin and 
Delaney Line won the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:00.22.
