PITTSBURGH -
Dae Dae Grant and
Jimmy Clark III led four Dukes in double figures with 13 points each as Duquesne (14-7, 4-4) erased an 11-point first half deficit to defeat Loyola Chicago (7-13, 1-7), 72-58, on Wednesday evening at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
R.J. Gunn Jr. had 12 points and
Tevin Brewer added 10 for the Dukes who shot 56 percent in outscoring the Ramblers 41-18 in the second half.
Philip Alston, a first-year transfer from nearby Cal U, led Loyola with a game-high 25 points.

Duquesne, which opened the game 6-of-20 from the field, fell behind 26-15 before going on an 8-0 run to cut it to three on a pair of Gunn Jr. free throws.
DU was within two, at 28-26 before the Ramblers closed the half with a 12-5 run to take a 40-31 lead.
Alston had 17 in the first half for Loyola, which outshot DU 52 percent to 32 percent.
Duquesne got 3-pointers from
Joe Reece and Brewer to cut it to 40-37 under two minutes into the second half.
DU, which held Loyola without a field goal for the first six-plus minutes out of the half, took its first lead since 3-2 on a Gunn Jr. turnaround that made it 41-40.
DU got back-to-back dunks from
Austin Rotroff, who scored six of his eight points in the second half, to up the lead to 45-42.
There were three ties before Grant hit a jumper and 3-pointer to make it 59-54.
DU took its largest lead at 63-56 on a Brewer jumper at the 2:39 mark.
Rotroff found Gunn Jr. for a big 3-pointer that made it 66-58 and
Kareem Rozier converted a one-and-one to give DU a 10-point lead with just over one minute left.
Duquesne, which outscored Loyola 14-0 in fast break points, turned it over just four times in the second half.
Duquesne returns to action at UMass (12-8, 3-5) on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 4:00 p.m. (ESPN+).

- This was the 20th time Duquesne has come back from a double-digit deficit to win under Keith Dambrot. DU's largest deficit was 11, at 26-15, with 8:47 left in the first half.
- Jimmy Clark III finished with four steals for the Dukes.
