HOW IT HAPPENED
The first set was back-and-forth the entire way, with each team going on a couple runs. Duquesne went on a 3-0 run early to take an 8-6 lead, but Loyola came right back with a 5-0 run for an 11-8 advantage. The Dukes held the lead at 16-15, but the Ramblers rode another 5-0 run to victory in the first.
In the second set, the match flow was eerily similar to the first, even ending with the same score at 25-21. It was tight for most of the set, but nobody took a commanding lead until the Ramblers went on a 4-0 run to give them a 19-14 lead. The Dukes got back within two at 22-20, but Loyola held on.
The last set was won relatively easily by Loyola as it jumped out to a 16-8 lead early. From there, the Dukes just didn't have enough left to climb back.
