PREVIEW: Dukes at George Mason

DU heads to Virginia for Saturday Afternoon Clash with the Patriots

Duquesne (7-1-3, 2-0-2), which finds itself perched atop the Atlantic 10 standings with Dayton, heads to Fairfax, Va. to face George Mason (2-7-1, 1-2-1) on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 1:00 p.m. (ESPN+).

The Dukes, who have come away with at least one point in all four of their A-10 contests, are 4-1-2 on the road with the lone loss coming at No. 25 Akron (0-1). This is just the second time in the past 16 seasons that DU has recorded four road victories.

George Mason is 2-1-1 at home with a conference win over St. Bonaventure and a 0-0 A-10 tie with La Salle on Wednesday.

DU, which set a new school record for most games without a loss to open a season (eight) moved into the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 for the first time since November of 2005 on Sept. 20. The Dukes were ranked for two weeks - reaching a high of No. 24 - prior to dropping out of the poll this week (ARV/28th).

Duquesne, which has surrendered five goals on the season (first in the A-10, tied for 3rd nationally), has posted six shutouts. The Dukes lead the nation in team save percentage (.911).

Following Saturday's game, the Dukes will host St. Bonaventure in a rare non-conference game vs. an A-10 opponent on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 6:00 p.m. (ESPN+).
