PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne women's soccer sent 27 shots St. Bonaventure's way Thursday night as the Dukes took down the Bonnies by a final score of 2-1 at Rooney Field on Senior Night.

Duquesne's 27 shots were the fifth-most in program history and most since 2019 in a 6-0 win against Youngstown State, when the Dukes put 28 shots on the Penguins. The Dukes' 17 shots on goal are a new season high and most since that same game against YSU.
Freshman forward
Margey Brown and sophomore forward
Brooke Kirstein each scored their first career goal tonight, with Kirstein's ending up being the game-winner for Duquesne.
In total, 10 different Duquesne players recorded a shot tonight, with eight of those players recording multiple.
Freshman midfielder

Besides the late goal, it was a dominating performance by the Dukes, even if the scoreboard did not show it.
Duquesne put pressure on St. Bonaventure from the very first minute, forcing the Bonnies into mistakes. The Dukes' 13 first half shots (seven shots on goal) did not show up on the scoreboard, as it was tied at the break.
Nothing changed in the second half, as Duquesne kept ripping shots towards St. Bonaventure's net, but the Dukes were eventually able to cash in in the 52
nd-minute when Brown hammered a shot from long-range to give Duquesne the lead.
Just over 20 minutes later, Kirstein tapped in a pass from freshman defender
Eva LaVecchia for Duquesne's second goal. The barrage of shots kept coming, but Duquesne couldn't put another one in.
St. Bonaventure's goal came late, but it wasn't even to tie it as Duquesne held on to win, 2-1 in a dominant performance.
