Â
The Dukes nearly evened the match back up less than three minutes later when a
Hannah Nguyen (Irwin, Pa./Penn Trafford) corner kick found the foot of
Karley Steinher (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson), who had a point-blank shot denied by Hawks' goalkeeper Katie Cappelletti.
Â
An aggressive tackle in the 77
th-minute by Saint Joe's spurred a counter-attack that led to the match's second goal. Orendac took a crossed pass in the box and buried a shot to make the score 2-0.
Â
Saint Joe's limited the Dukes offensively over the final 12 minutes of the match to deal the Dukes the loss.
