Duquesne women's soccer (1-3-1, 1-2-1) completes the home portion of its abbreviated spring schedule with games against No. 20 Saint Louis (9-1-0, 4-0-0) on Thursday, April 1 (7:30 p.m.) and Sunday, April 4 (1:00 p.m.). Both matches will air on ESPN+.
The Dukes, who are 13-2-4 on Rooney Field since the start of the 2018, will be looking to avenge a 1-0 loss at then-No. 22 SLU on March 21.
This is the second time - and first since 1996 - that Duquesne will be hosting a nationally ranked team.
These are the fifth and sixth of eight scheduled conference games for the Dukes, who are competing in the A-10 West Division with Dayton, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis. Â
The Dukes conclude the regular season with games at St. Bonaventure on April 8 & 11.

THE SPRING SEASON
- The Atlantic 10 has been split into three divisions for conference play. The North Division consists of Fordham, La Salle, UMass, Rhode Island and Saint Joseph's and the South Division is made up of Davidson, George Mason, George Washington, Richmond and VCU.
- Duquesne, which is in the lone four-team division, will play three games against St. Bonaventure (W, 1-0) , three against Saint Louis (L, 0-1) and two against Dayton (T, 1-1 2OT; L, 0-2).
- The Dukes were picked to finish ninth out of 14 teams in the A-10 Preseason Coaches' Poll, Saint Louis was picked first, Dayton fourth and St. Bonaventure 13th.
THE SERIES VS. SAINT LOUIS
- Saint Louis leads the series 7-3-0, however the Dukes lead 2-1-0 in matches on Rooney Field.
- Saint Louis has won four and Duquesne three in the past seven meetings.
- Head coach Al Alvine is 1-4 vs. the Billikens
- DU has won the past two at home against Saint Louis. SLU's last game in Pittsburgh was on Sept. 24, 2017 (a 2-1 Dukes' win).
VS. RANKED TEAMS
- These will be DU's eighth and ninth all-time matches vs. ranked teams (0-7-0).
- It is just the second time the Dukes are hosting a ranked team. The last was a 2-0 loss to #15 Penn State on Nov. 3, 1996. The PSU game was DU's first vs. a ranked team in program history.
LAST GAME
- Dayton scored twice in the second half to pull away from Duquesne and take a 2-0 win at UD's Baujan Field on Saturday afternoon.
- The Flyers outshot the Dukes 17-5 in the second 45 minutes and 23-8 for the game.
- Deena DeBaldo led DU with three shots, including two on goal. Ashley Rodriguez, Lexy Kendro and Brooke Schutter also had shots on net for the Dukes.
- Megan Virgin finished with eight saves for Duquesne.
SCOUTING THE DUKES
- Duquesne played one non-conference match (a 3-0 loss at Pitt on March 7) prior to A-10 play.
- The Dukes, who graduated one player from last year's 6-8-3 team, welcomed back it entire offense of 22 goals, 15 assists and 59 points.
- Atlantic 10 Second Team selection senior Deena DeBaldo enters the weekend needing one goal (she has 13) and one point (she has 34) to move into the DU Top 10 in both categories.
- DeBaldo and freshman Emma Bundy own DU's two goals this season. Alex Saturni and Tori Kopchak own Duquesne's two assists.
- DeBaldo leads the Dukes in shots (17) and shots on goal (8). Lexy Kendro is second in both categories with 12 and six.
- DeBaldo's 3.4 shots per game ranks second in the A-10, while Kendro's 2.4 are tied for ninth.
- Megan Virgin returns after starting all 17 games in net for Duquesne last season. Virgin's .833 save percentage is tied for second in the A-10.
- Head coach Al Alvine, who has led the Dukes to an A-10 postseason appearance in four of the last five seasons, is in his ninth year at DU. Alvine led DU to the program's first A-10 Championship in 2015. He is in his 19th season as a head coach overall.

SCOUTING THE BILLIKENS
- Saint Louis, which is coming off a 4-0 win at St. Bonaventure on Sunday, has posted shutouts in three of its four Atlantic 10 wins.
- SLU, which has scored a conference-high 24 goals, is holding opponents to an A-10 low .572 goals per game.
- The Billikens lead the A-10 with 7.6 shots per game, well ahead of number two La Salle's 6.13.
- SLU has two of the top four goal scorers in the conference in junior Emily Groark (third with six) and sophomore Abbie Miller (tied for fourth with four)
THE FIRST MEETING
- No. 22 Saint Louis' goal in the 12th minute enabled it to extend its Atlantic 10 regular season win streak to 23 a 1-0 win over the Dukes on March 21 at Hermann Stadium.
- The win gave Saint Louis a 41-2-5 record in its last 48 home games.
- Deena DeBaldo led the Dukes with a pair of shots, while Lexy Kendro and Sarah Wilkinson registered DU's shots on goal.
- Megan Virgin was outstanding in net with five saves for Duquesne.
- SLU, which entered the match ranked tied for eighth nationally in shots per game, outshot DU 14-5, including 6-2 on goal.
- Saint Louis had seven corners to three for Duquesne.

ROONEY FIELD SPRING SPORT ATTENDANCE GUIDELINES
- Due to social distancing requirements and limited seating available at Rooney Field, attendance for home men's and women's soccer matches as well as lacrosse games played this spring is limited to family and friends of participating Duquesne student-athletes.
- In order to ensure the safety of student-athletes and the campus community as a whole, the only fans who will be admitted are those who are listed by DU student-athletes on a monitored, pre-approved pass list.
- Masks must be worn at all times while on campus.
- Walk-up fans will not be permitted.
- Fans will not be permitted to stand along fencing under the Mellon Hall overhang or on Academic Walk.
- Tailgating is prohibited.
- Rooney Field will open to fans 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.
- There will be no field access prior to or following the game.
- Concessions will not be available. Those in attendance are permitted to bring unopened non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. No coolers or large bags will be permitted.
- Parking - Parking for those on pass lists will be available in the Forbes Avenue Parking Garage. Please take the elevator to the 8th Floor and use the walkway between the Duquesne Student Union and College Hall to walk to Rooney Field.
