PITTSBURGH - Seven Duquesne rowers garnered Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2019 season, the organization announced recently.

Meredith O'Neil each earned CRCA Scholar-Athlete accolades for the Dukes.
To be recognized as a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete, the student-athlete must have posted a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher for her career, must have been in her second, third or fourth year of eligibility, and she must have rowed in her institution's NCAA or IRA eligible boat(s) for a minimum of 75 percent of the current spring races or racing in a regional conference event.Â
In addition, 33 rowers recently earned Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll laurels, including:

To be selected for the Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete in an Atlantic 10-sponsored sport must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Freshmen and graduate students are eligible to receive the award.
In addition, Clay, Griffith and O'Neil each achieved a 4.0 semester GPA. As a team, the Dukes recorded a 3.340 GPA for the spring.
