PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Duquesne rowing team took part in The Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuykill River on Friday and Saturday, with sophomore
Zara Wenzinger posting a medal-winning performance in the single grand final.
The Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta is the largest collegiate regatta in the United States, with over 100 colleges and Universities from the U.S. and Canada.
Wenzinger recorded a first-place mark in her collegiate single heat with a time of 9:49.90 before earning bronze in the grand final with a mark of 7:54.06.
The Dukes' varsity eight registered a fifth-place finish in the 'B' Final with a time of 6:38.60 while the junior varsity eight placed second overall in the 'B' Final with a mark of 6:52.26.
Duquesne's novice four posted a sixth-place showing in the 'C' Final at 8:15.3 and the varsity four placed sixth in the 'D' final with a time of 9:17.03.
