@DuqLax Tops Davidson 20-16 for First A-10 Win

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Duquesne earned its first Atlantic 10 victory of the season with a 20-16 triumph at Davidson on Sunday afternoon at Richardson Stadium. The Dukes improve to 6-4 overall and 1-3 in A-10 play while the Wildcats drop to 7-5 and 1-3, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Duquesne built a 5-2 lead with scores from five different players before extending its advantage to 8-3 following Sarah Kollhoff's second goal of the game off the assist by Carlee Braverman at the 12:04 mark of the first half.
  • Davidson cut the Dukes' edge to three at 9-6, before DU netted three goals in a row, the last two by Michaela Connolly to take a 12-6 lead.
  • The Wildcats scored the final two goals of the half as Duquesne owned a 12-8 advantage at the break.
  • The Dukes recorded four of the first six goals of the second frame, two more coming from Kollhoff to give the visitors a 16-10 lead.
  • Davidson rattled off four straight goals to minimize the deficit to two at 16-14.
  • Duquesne countered with three goals in a row to seal the win, including a pair from Rilee Bradshaw to put the Dukes on top 19-14 with just over a minute to play.
