PITTSBURGH -
Eric Williams Jr. (Port Huron, Mich.) has been named Atlantic 10 co-Player of the Week for his performance in Duquesne's two games last week.
The 6-6 swingman averaged 18.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals in DU's games at La Salle and vs. George Washington.
Williams Jr. had 15 points, eight rebounds and a career high-tying four steals in Duquesne's 73-72 loss at La Salle and followed that with a season high-tying 22 points, eight rebounds and three steals in DU's 85-69 win over George Washington.
For the week, Williams Jr. shot .632 from the field, including 3-of-6 from the 3-point arc. He also went 10-of-11 from the foul line.
Williams Jr. shared this week's award with Saint Louis guard Javon Bess.
This is the second time Williams Jr. has earned A-10 co-Player of the Week, with the other coming on Dec. 24. Williams Jr. - a preseason Second Team All-Atlantic 10 pick - earned conference Rookie of the Week honor four times on his way to being named to the conference's All-Rookie Team last year.
The versatile guard/forward leads the Dukes in scoring (13.2 ppg.) and rebounding (7.9 rpg.) and is second on the team with 44 3-pointers made.
His 8.4 career rebounds per game average ranks fifth nationally among the nations' sophomores.

Duquesne (17-9, 8-5), which has already eclipsed last year's overall and Atlantic 10 win totals, heads to Fairfax, Va. to face George Mason (15-11, 9-4) at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday (MASN/ESPN+).
