PITTSBURGH – Despite holding a 1-0 lead at the half, two second-half goals from UMass proved to be the difference, as the Dukes (5-7-2, 3-5 A10) fell to UMass (8-4-3, 5-2-1 A10), 2-1, on Sunday afternoon at Rooney Field in Atlantic 10 action.
The loss for Duquesne was its first on the new turf surface and ended a streak of eight-consecutive games without losing on Rooney Field. The streak of undefeated play on the Bluff, began on Oct. 14, 2018.
Alex Saturni recorded the lone score for the Dukes, giving the Duquesne a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute. The Minutewomen tied the contest in the 65th minute, when Rebeca Frisk found Lauren Bonavita for her eighth goal of the season. The eventual game-winning goal occurred in the 79th minute, as Jenny Hipp recorded her first goal of the season off an assist from Ava Jouvenel.
The Dukes battle St. Bonaventure in the home regular-season finale on Thursday, Oct. 24. Game time is set for a 7:00 p.m. start at Rooney Field.

- 12' | Saturni's second goal of the campaign came from long distance, as the sophomore stole possession and pushed the ball to around the 20-yd line, before unleashing a beautiful shot to the upper left corner.
- At the half, the Dukes held a 1-0 lead, as both teams recorded three shots on goal.
- 65' | The Minutewomen struck for the equalizing goal with 25 minutes left in the second half. Bonavita successfully passed ahead to Frisk, as Frisk, set the ball behind her back to Bonavita. Bonavita drilled a shot to left of the goalkeeper to tie the contest at 1-1.
- 79' | UMass' game-winning goal came with 11:52 left in the second half, as Jouvenel rocketed a pass to the front of the net from the right side, as Hipp successfully headed in a shot to the right of the keeper.
- The Minutewomen led 29-14 on shots, and 12-5 on shots on goal and 6-3 corners.
- Megan Virgin posted a season-high 10 saves, including seven in the second half alone.
