RICHMOND, Va. - The Duquesne swimming and diving team dropped a 174-105 decision to host Richmond on the first night of competition of the Richmond Duals on Friday at SwimRVA.
The Dukes posted four first-place finishes on the night, including
Cateri Christinis (Charleroi, Pa. / Oakland Catholic) in the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:45.01),
Emma Brinton (Landenberg, Pa. / Avon Grove) in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.14),
Sophia Perez (Chapel Hill, N.C. / East Chapel Hill)Â in the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.45) and
Lauren Devorace (Rocky River, Ohio / Rocky River)Â in the 500-yard freestyle (5:07.01).
Freshman
Sidney O'Donnell (Solon, Ohio / Solon)Â paced the Duquesne divers in both the 1-meter (234.65) and 3-meter (238.65) dives.

The Dukes will square off with George Mason tomorrow on day two of the Richmond Duals. Diving begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Robins Center while swimming is slated to start at 10:15 at SwimRVA.
