PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne women's soccer team (5-5-2) looks to bounce back after a heartbreaking loss, when the Dukes head to Dayton (5-6-3) on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. Duquesne returns to the friendly confines of Rooney Field on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. against UMass (6-4-3) to close out the weekend.

THE SERIES
  • The Flyers own a 16-3-2 record over the Dukes all-time. Despite the record, Duquesne has not lost to Dayton since 2015, as the Dukes are 2-0-2 against the Flyers in the last four matchups.
  • UMass leads the all-time series by a count of 14-5-1. Three of Duquesne's five wins in the series have come on Rooney Field.
QUICK HITS
  • The Dukes look to get back on track after falling to Saint Joseph's, 1-0, in the 107th minute of double-overtime in its lone game last week.
  • Entering the second to last weekend of conference play, the Dukes are just two points out of third place in the A-10. The top four teams host the quarterfinal round on their home fields on Nov. 2 or Nov. 3.
  • With two goals this weekend, Deena DeBaldo will tie Lauren Bracco (2003) and Katie O'Connor (2015) for most goals in a season in program history.
  • DeBaldo ranks second in the conference, just a single-goal behind Melissa Kossler for the lead in the A-10.  DeBaldo is tied for second in the conference in points (19) with GW's Rachel Sorkenn and Richmond's Alyssa Walker.
  • The Dukes look to remain undefeated at Rooney Field this season, as the Dukes currently hold a 5-0-1 record on the new surface. Duquesne has not lost at home in over a calendar year and have not lost in eight consecutive matches on the Bluff.
  • The Flyers enter Thursday's matchup with a 5-6-3 overall record and a 3-1-2 conference record.
  • UMass battles Davidson in Amherst on Thursday, before making the trek to Pittsburgh for Sunday's contest.
