Duquesne fell to Davidson 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-12) in the Atlantic 10 opener for both schools on Friday night in Davidson, N.C. DU returns to action Sunday at VCU. Sunday's match starts at 1:00 p.m.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• With Duquesne leading 5-2 in the 1st set, Davidson used a 10-1 run to go ahead for good.
• The Wildcats had two 6-0 runs and never trailed in the 2nd set.
• A 13-3 third set run sparked Davidson, giving the Wildcats an insurmountable 17-6 lead.
• The Dukes had just one block error and zero service errors.
• Summer Slade led the Dukes with eight kills, Kori Johnson and Maddie Bazelak added seven.
• Dani Suiter had 23 assists.
• Camryn Vecera recorded 19 digs.
